

abdu mongo ali is a musician, poet, and cross-disciplinary artist who works through sound, video, text, and performance. ali has toured across continents, held performances and exhibited work at many institutions such as MoMa PS1, The Carnegie Museum of Art, The Baltimore Museum of Art, The Andy Warhol Museum, and The Kennedy Center. They have been a resident with Red Bull Music, Pioneer Works, and was a visiting artist at the Brown Arts Institute. They have also presented lectures and talks at Harvard University, Stanford University, Towson University, and their writing has been supported by Bread Loaf. Their writing has been published in the PIN–UP Magazine, NiiJournal, Art Papers Magazine, and the Little Patuxent Review. Ali was a recipient of the 2023 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize and is a 2023 USA Fellow. Ali holds a MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University.
Canal Street Research Association is the fictional office entity of Shanzhai Lyric and was founded in 2020 in a disused storefront on Canal Street, New York’s counterfeit epicenter. Delving into the cultural and material ecologies of the street as a site that probes the limits of ownership, the association repurposes underused real estate—empty storefronts, office buildings, kiosks, and basements—as spaces for gathering ephemeral histories, mapping local lore, and tracing the flows and fissures of capital.
Ryanaustin Dennis is a poet, performer, and artist whose work spans performance, writing, and sound art. His performances have been featured at INTERCOMM and Blade Study gallery. Dennis’s writing and poetry have appeared in Believer Magazine Online, SFMOMA Open Space, ZYZZYVA Literary Journal, and The Whitney Review. He is currently a member of INTERN, a sound art project with experimental musician Tyler Keen.
